Kogi Information Commissioner Throws Support Behind NUJ Press Week/Investiture of Gov. Ododo As NUJ Grand Patron
Kogi State Commissioner of Information, Evangelist Kingsley Fanwo has assured of necessary support towards the success of the forthcoming Press Week of the State Council of Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ and investiture of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo as grand patron of the Union.
Evangelist Kingsley Fanwo made the remark on Tuesday in his office while receiving the committee for the event.
He emphasized the importance of the NUJ in shaping the society, saying he belongs to that constituency hence efforts will be intensified to ensure the success of the program.
The Commissioner commended the State Council of NUJ for selecting people of proven integrity to serve in the committee and promised some support by the Ministry.
Earlier, the Chairman of Committee, Alhaji Momohjimoh Adeiza said the visit was to formally intimate the commissioner on the planned event.
Alhaji Momohjimoh who was the immediate past chairman of the Council solicited the support of the Ministry and the government, especially in the quest to realize successful investiture of the Governor.
Highlights of the visit was the presentation of relevant documents to the Commissioner by the Chairman of the Committee.
