The perverse argument and the futility plan for power stay in Kogi Central is a *RHETORIC OF EVIL.*
The argument is perhaps the most damaging to the strength of Kogi Central in power negotiation and the modest achievement already recorded by the Governor Yahaya Bello led administration.
Instead of learning from the mistakes of the 16 years of Igala dominance, Governor Yahaya Bello’s team want to continue living in mistakes, deliberately forgetting that the best thing to do at times like this is to learn from mistakes.
Effective governance cannot be limited to just infrastructural and service delivery but the necessary feelings of amity and inclusion. Such feelings and spirit no doubt accelerates development by spurring commitment and devotion to the common good.
The only way we can entrench the spirit of fraternity, equality and freedom in our beloved state, is by allowing the fortuitous rotation of power run its full course through the deliberate decision of all men and women of goodwill for the balance, smooth and progressive governance and development of Kogi state. We know Kogi state is a state endowed not only with an abundance of natural resources but also human potential and it is not an understatement to say Kogi West like other district has an appreciable array of excellent minds that can shoulder effectively the burden of lifting Kogi state to even greater heights.
I Therefore submit that power should and must rotate to Kogi west in 2023 for the much-desired stability of the state.
