Kogi Govt Launches Renovation of 728 Schools as AGILE Project Takes Off

The Kogi State Government has launched the renovation of 728 public secondary schools across the state, marking a major milestone in its efforts to improve education.

The project, part of the Adolescent Girls Initiative For Learning and Empowerment (AGILE), aims to enhance learning environments, boost teacher morale, and improve safety.

Speaking at the flag-off ceremony, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to prioritizing education.

He commended the First Lady, Hajia Sefinat Usman Ododo, for her advocacy for girl child empowerment.

He added that 30 Technical Service Providers have been selected to begin work on 150 schools, with a focus on quality, transparency, and timely delivery. The project will be closely monitored to ensure value for money.

The renovation is expected to impact thousands of students and teachers, promoting inclusive and sustainable education in Kogi State.
