Kogi Govt Announces Two Weeks Break For Schools In Kogi


 

Lokoja, December 18, 2020

Kogi State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, has announced two weeks break for both Private and Public Primary and Secondary Schools in the state.

The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Pastor Emmanuel Idenyi, made the announcement in statement on Friday in Lokoja.

Idenyi said that the two-week break was in total compliance with the revised 2019/2020 Academic Calender for schools in the state.

He said that schools closes today Friday 18th December, 2020 and terminate 3rd January, 2021 respectively.

Pastor Idenyi mandated Heads of Boards Agencies under the State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology and all education Stakeholders to take note accordingly.

While wishing the pupils, Students and Teachers a happy Christmas and new year Celebration in advance, the Permanent secretary urged them to be safety conscious throughout the period of festivity.

He further called on heads and proprietors of schools to always operate with in the specification of academic School Calendar, saying anything contrary to the specification, would attract sanction from the ministry on the erring schools.
