The paramount ruler of Igala kingdom, HRM Alaji Matthew Opaluwa has pronounced royal blessings on the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman (OAU).
While declaring support for the candidacy of Alhaji Ododo, the monarch said the APC candidate has agenda that will truly unite and cater for the people of Kogi State.
He said ”I recieve my dear son into Igala kingdom today and I hereby bless his mission with my full support. As from today henceforth, Ododo is Kogi Agenda and Kogi agenda is Ododo”
Alhaji Ododo had on Saturday 13th May, led his entourage comprising APC stalwarts and other critical stakeholders into the magnificent palace of the royal father to seek his blessings ahead of official commencement of campaign activities.
The APC candidate who reiterated his commitment to sustain the current harmonious relationship between the government and traditional institution, said the enduring peace being enjoyed in Kogi State is partly due to the effort of monarch across the length and breadth of the state.
While appreciating the royal father for his warm reception and blessings, Alhaji Ododo briefly highlighted his plans for continued development of Kogi State, just as he allayed the fear of possible implementation of sectional agenda when he resumes office as Executive Governor of Kogi.
He assured the royal father and the entire people of Kogi East that just like Governor Yahaya Bello, capacity to deliver and genuine love for Kogi State development would guide the choice of his team in the forthcoming administration.
