Kogi Governorship Election: Massive Crowd Stage A Road Walk For Adebanji Jimoh


 

The city of Kabba, the headquarters of Kogi West Senatorial district was agog Monday as show and pray rally was organised for the leading Governorship aspirant under the ruling APC, Distinguished Adebanji Jimoh.

 

Addressing the crowd at the APC Secretariat in Kabba, the Governorship aspirant thanked the people for the show of love towards his political aspiration by turning out in their large numbers to receive him while commending the organisers for the program which he described as timely.

The Governorship hopeful appeal to the APC stakeholders and the Kogi State Governor to give their maximum support to Kogi west, while Kogi West he noted should cede the Governorship position to Kabba. “For equity, justice and fairness, it is the turn of Kabba to produce the next Governor of Kogi State”. The Governorship aspirant noted.

Adebanji Jimoh promised good governance if elected Governor of Kogi State, stressing that he is well prepared for the top job, noting that he has all it takes to lead the state to a great hight.

“I will put smile
on the faces of the people of Kogi State if I become the Governor of the state and development shall be seen in all part of of our beloved Kogi State we can all be proud of”.

In a good will messsges, the women leader, Mrs Comfort Joe appeal to the crowd and the APC leaders in Kogi State to support Adebanji Jimoh in his bid to become the Governor of Kogi State. She noted that for the sake of justice, fairness and equity, Kogi West should produce the next Governor of Kogi State because the Senatorial district she noted has been marginalized and under developed because they have not been able to hold the power to develop the area.

The women leader said that the Lokoja/Koto federal Constituency are holding the minister while Yagba federal Constituency are now the Senator elect and have produce Deputy Governors, and the acting Governor in time past while Ijumu Local Government Area she said have been holding the Senate for twelve years and just won the House of Representatives-elect in the just concluded General elections.

“If we are to be fair to ourselves, Kabba should be allowed to produce the next Governor of Kogi State after all, Kabba, she said is the headquarters of Kogi West”. “It is the turn of Kabba, let everyone irrespective of political parties come together to give their maximum support for Adebanji Jimoh who is the only Governorship aspirant in Kabba”.

On his part, the youth leader, Mr Segun Bello described the Governorship hopeful as the best to lead Kogi State to a great hight if he becomes the Governor of Kogi State.

The youth leader said Adebanji Jimoh has all it takes in considering his capacity, knowledge, wisdom, exposure, experience and the fear of God to govern the state where full dividends of democracy would be seen in all parts of Kogi State

A staunch supporter of Adebanji Jimoh for Governor, Mr Dayo Omole appeal to Governor Yahaya Bello and the APC leaders in Kogi State to rally round Adebanji Jimoh to become the Governor of Kogi State. He assured the people that Kogites would witness massive and superlative development across Kogi State if Adebanji Jimoh becomes the Governor of Kogi State.

Mr Dayo Omole said that Adebanji Jimoh would follow the legacy of Governor Yahaya Bello if he becomes the Governor of Kogi State.

Present at the rally are traditional rulers, youth group, women organisations, members of the APC, market women and religious body. Highlight of the program was cultural display from different cultural groups.
