The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Research, Hon. Zakari Yusuf Eneve (Nescafe) on Thursday eulogized Gov. Yahaya Bello on his management of the state resources and public announcement of full payment of salaries to all categories of workers in the state.
He said, I am so glad today for this simple truth that His Excellency has taken his time to itemized before the public.
I want us to put our selves in his position, how do you manage this meager resources available before the huge responsibilities awaiting it?
The month kogi’s allocation is up to N3b Bayesa would be allocated N36b. These states still complain of marginalization.
Kogi is just better than katsina among all the 36 States in terms of revenue allocation, yet, kogi state has the highest number of appointees among all the states. And most of the appointees are very helpful in there various constituencies, but in Okene II constituency, the duo of Kogi State Accountant-General, Alh. Jibril Momoh and the Auditor General for local governments, Alh. Usman Ahmed Ododo. They empower a lot of people, thereby bringing the dividends of democracy closer to the grassroot.
It’s quite amazing where funds for most of the kogi state projects are coming from, the magnificent reference hospital in Okene, the everlasting roads constructions both completed and on going, the Confluence University of Science and Technology in Osara and the numerous water projects, Security, and host of others, suffix it to say but little.
His Excellency, being an accountant, invest in key areas that are revenue driven so that Kogi would not remain in ladder of poorest state in the nearest future.
Sometimes we would be offending God, if we talk much out of ignorance or perhaps out of mere hatred. Hence, the governor’s aide urged the people to always exercise restraint when issues they have little or no knowledge are being peddled in the media.
According to him, Gov. Yahaya Bello is the Daniel of our time, hence the need to join hands with him and make GYB 2 PYB project a reality.
