Kogi State former Deputy Governor, Elder Simon Achuba has congratulated Muslim faithfuls across the country on the occasion of the Eid Mubarak festival, which honours the virtuous and heroic deeds of Prophet Ibrahim in following Allah’s command.
The former Deputy Governor, in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Akor Sylvester urged muslims and all Nigerians to learn from this season’s teachings by being obedient, tolerant, peace loving in order to create a new society that the next generation would be proud of.
He further encouraged Nigerians of all faiths to pray for a country where peace, unity and togetherness reign, stating that “the hope of a better Nigeria, must be the concern of all Nigerians”,.
The former Deputy Governor enjoined Muslim faithfuls to pray for Kogi state and Kogites for a peaceful gubernitorial election slated for November this year.
According to him, Kogites have resolved to work to create a new kogi state that is free of sentiments and divisions.
Commending Kogites for quickly adjusting to the biting situation of the country with the removal of fuel subsidy by the present administration of the country, the former Deputy Governor urged for patience, unity and sincere love that cut across all social strata.
He further enjoined Kogites to uphold the law, live in peace, and carry out their legitimate responsibilities without fear as he said, “their lives and property would be protected by God Almighty “,.
The former Deputy Governor urged the celebrants to remember the less privileged by touching their lives positively as they mark the Holy day.
