Kogi Finance Commissioner Felicitates Muslim Ummah on Eid-el-Kabir, Advocates Sacrifice, Love, Unity
The Kogi State Commissioner for Finance, Budget and Economic Planning, Mukadam Asiwaju Asiru Idris, FCA, has extended warm felicitations to the Muslim Ummah across Kogi State and Nigeria at large on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
In a goodwill message issued from his hometown, Asiwaju Asiru urged Muslims to embrace the enduring virtues symbolized by Eid-el-Kabir — obedience, sacrifice, faith, humility, and selflessness. He described the sacred festival as a profound reminder of the rewards that come with unwavering trust in Almighty Allah, as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim.
“Eid-el-Kabir is not merely a season of celebration; it is also a time for deep reflection on our relationship with Almighty Allah and our responsibilities to one another as human beings,” he said. “The festival teaches us that through sacrifice, patience, and steadfast devotion, we can overcome challenges both as individuals and as a nation.”
The APC chieftain also called on Nigerians, particularly the Muslim faithful, to use the festive period to pray for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, FCA, as they continue their efforts to deliver impactful and people-oriented governance through economic reforms, improved security, infrastructural development, and national unity.
He stressed that both the federal and state administrations remain committed to delivering the dividends of democracy and implementing policies that will place the nation on the path of sustainable growth and prosperity.
“As we celebrate and share with family and friends, let us also remember the less privileged in our communities. Let the spirit of charity, compassion, love, and tolerance guide our actions so that together we can build a more peaceful and united Nigeria,” he added.
The Honourable Commissioner concluded by wishing Muslims across the state and the country a joyful, peaceful, and spiritually fulfilling Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
