Year Anniversary of Miss Kogi, Queen Khadijat Onayi Jimoh today paid a working visit to the Hon. Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Hon. Wemi Jones and his team at the Ministry.
The Commissioner Congràtulated the New Miss Kogi on her success at the Miss Kogi Beauty Pageant, described the feat as a combination of brain and beauty.
He urged her to take Education as Paramount and necessary requirement for all round development, urged other girl child to aside plying their trade in talent shoes, says Education is the foundation of Development.
He said Education provides solutions to problem of the society for the society, called on young people in the state to take Education serious, Particularly that Gov. Yahaya Bello’s administration has made it topmost on the thermatic areas of the Administration.
The commissioner commended the initiative of Miss Kogi to facilitate the scholarship of
200 students within at College of Education levels within three years period she will spend in office, promised to support such Quality and life Impacting oriented projects.
The new Miss Kogi, Queen Khadijat Onayi Jimoh in her speach said her value for education which she place premium on is necessitating her giving out 200 scholarship NCE forms for NCE certificate program for 3years.
The initiative which was endorsed by Kogi State Ministry of Education Science and Technology, would enable the two hundred scholarship form to be shared in the region of 50 people from each Senatorial District in Kogi State and the remaining 50 to non Indigenes in the state for equity fairness and justice.
The Scholarships covers School fees only which is valued at Twenty Nine Million, Two Hundred Thousand Naira only. (N29,200,000) and Eighty Seven Million, Six Hundred Thousand Naira only. (N87,600,000) for 3years duration of the course.
