.. Clears Mr. George Funsho Ojo as SIEC Commissioner
The Kogi State House of Assembly has today cleared Hon. Justice R.O. Olorunfemi, as the Kogi State Chief Judge.
Similarly, the House Cleared Hon. Justice Siyaka Momoh Jimoh Usman, to serve as President, Customary Court of Appeal
The Speaker and Members of the Assembly noted that since the Chief Judge and his counterpart in the Customary Court were few months ago screeend and cleared by the House and having been recommended by the National Commission,
unanimously cleared the duo.
In a related development,
Mr. George Funsho Ojo, was screened and cleared as Permanent Member, Kogi State Independent Electoral Commission. His screening and clearance followed the sack of Hon. Funsho Otu on issues bothering of involvement in party activities.
Also the Kogi State House of Assembly has called on Kogi State Government to complete the Kogi State College of Education (Technical), Kabba permanent site.
In a motion moved by the Speaker pleaded with this honorable House to help appeal to the Kogi State Government to urgently construct the road leading to the permanent site of the college as erosion has taken over the road.
He also appealed to Kogi State Government to urgently construct the perimeter fence of the College so as to secure the school’s land and the occupants of the school.
The Speaker said since the infrastructure of the permanent site is about 70% completed, the State Government should urgently help to finish the uncompleted structures on the permanent site; so that it will be available for use.
The Assembly has however adjourned Plenary till Wednesday, 29th of September, 2021.
