KOGI APC PRIMARIES: GOV. BELLO ASSURES OF LEVEL PLAYING FIELD


 

Gov Yahaya Bello has promised to ensure that a fair playing field in Kogi APC gubernatorial primaries is maintained.

 

 

In a meeting held yesterday with Kogi APC gubernatorial aspirants, the Governor of Kogi state, Yahaya Bello acknowledged the growing tension in the party’s gubernatorial primaries, assured the aspirants that he would ensure fairness in the coming primary election.

He advised all aspirants to warn their followers and supporters on their actions and comments, stressing that there are modes of primaries, namely direct, indirect, and consensus.

Governor Bello stated that he would start consulting all the candidates from today, and the party would speak.

He warned those going to court to desist and urged all those in attendance to be products of the system and not mess with the system when the choice is made.

The governor also stated that he has a good relationship with the President-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and hence, there are enough positions to go around—whoever wins will carry others along.

Gov. Bello assured of his commitment to ensuring a free and fair primary election, urge all aspirants and their supporters to comply with the party directives to make the process peaceful and transparent.
