Kogi ACReSAL Project Coordinator, Barr. Ladi Tasks Women to show greater commitment to Politics, Governance


 

The Project Coordinator, Agro Climatic Resilience in Arid and Semi Arid landscape project Barr. Ladi Ahmed Jatto, has called on women to come out and show greater commitment to politics and governance.

 

Barr. Ladi made the call when she hosted and fetted women from the Central Senatorial District as part of activities to mark the Eid El Fitri Celebration, said the time for women to take the front roll in politics and governance is now.

 

The Project Coordinator described women as better managers and administrators, said it has been proven over time that they are good resources manager, urged them not to be relegated in the scheming of decision and policy making.

She called on the women to show greater commitment to the education and wellbeing of their children, lamented the decay in morals and values occasion by women abandoning their responsibilities.

The Project Coordinator paid glowing tributes to Gov. Yahaya Bello for making the issues of women empowerment and occupying strategic positions in governance a priority, said the governor has opened women to new frontiers of getting recognized in the State.

While she lauded the governor for exceeding the UN benchmarks for women in appointment and governance, Barr. Ladi urged the women to remain supportive of the present administration so as to justify the governor’s huge investment and patronage on them.

Highlights of the hosting of the women by the Project Coordinator was the presentation of food items and cash to enable them support their homes and businesses by Barr. Ladi, promised to sustain her support for the women.
