Kogi: Abubakar Ibrahim Idris condoles with family of late Maigari of Lokoja

Following the death of the paramount ruler of Lokoja, Kogi State, the Maigari of Lokoja, Alhaji Muhammad Maikarfi lll, at the age of 80 penultimate Wednesday.

The Chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the State, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim Idris has condoled with the family of the late traditional ruler.

Abubakar Ibrahim Idris expressed sadness and mourned the death of the royal father.

In a statement from his Media Office, the PDP Chieftain described Maigari as a humble traditional ruler who embraced everyone throughout his life time as well as a lover of his people and the state.

“One of his unforgettable legacies was the fact that he played a critical role in ensuring peaceful coexistence and togetherness among the people.

“The entire state would miss the Lokoja monarch, as his death came at a time we are into election period, both at the national and state levels.

“We will however, take solace in the fact that the Maigari of Lokoja’s death is the will of God and a life well spent. He lived a fulfilled life in service of his people and the state”. Abubakar Ibrahim Idris said.
