Kogi State Governorship aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 election, Dr. Bolufemi Olarotimi has declared that his quest to be the next Governor of Kogi State is to free the state and its traumatized people from the shackles of leadership failure.
In a chat with newhounds in Lokoja, he lamented the infrastructural decay, economic stagnation, a demoralized civil service workforce and hostile business environment in the state which he attributed to leadership failure.
Dr. Bolu reiterated that with the abundance of resources in Kogi State, its leaders should not cite inadequate funds as reason for inability to provide for the welfare of its people.
With right leadership, Dr. Bolufemi Rotimi believes Kogi State will achieve unprecedented development that will be the envy of other states in the country. It is this responsive, responsible, committed and focused leadership that Dr. Bolufemi Rotimi is promising Kogites when sworn into Office as the Executive Governor of Kogi State come January, 2024.
With the endowments in Kogi State, Dr. Bolufemi Rotimi declared that the present socioecomic realities in the state is sad and inexcusable. He however, urged Kogites to persevere just for a while as their pain will soon become history but pointed out that the positive turnaround they desperately desire can only be realised if they vote out the people whose policies as leaders have put them in dire straits.
The time to change the retrogressive change of the past seven years has come and for the sake of a better living in the present and a future of bliss for the coming generations, the PDP governorship aspirant declared.
