The Kogi State Government, in an effort to improve land administration and development across the state has approved a reduced cost of processing land titles to Certificate of Occupancy (C of O).
The New Direction Administration led by Alh. Yahaya Bello in her will to transform and upgrade the standard of living of Kogi State citizens, grants an unprecedented reduction in the cost of processing Certificate of Occupancy (C of O) for all existing houses across the state.
According to the Director-General, Bureau of Lands and Urban Development, Hon. Nazir Yusuf Ochi (CNA) who made this known, stated that it is channeled towards realization of one of the Bureau’s cardinal project of URBAN RENEWAL PROGRAM tagged *Property Owner’s Express.*
He further emphasized that with the introduction of this people-oriented reform of His Excellency in the Bureau of Lands and Urban Development, people can now obtain building approval and Certificate of Occupancy (C of O) on existing structures at a discounted flat rate for as low as N35,000, starting from December 15th, to March 15th, 2021.
In his remark, the essence of this approval is to give room for increase of individuals and group investment Capital base through ease of obtaining bank loan facilities which will further boost Small and Medium Entreprises (SMEs) across the state and also enhance wealth creation.
He therefore called on the citizens to take advantage of this rare opportunity before the window period elapses.
