KGIRS INTERIM MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE Organises Management Performance Review (MPR) for the month of October 2020 for  Directorates Heads.


 

In the quest to improve tax collection and performance evaluation /work efficiency, the Kogi State Internal Revenue Service (KGIRS) headed by the interim management Committee Chairman led by the State Commissioner for Finance Hon. Asiwaju Idris Asiru organised management performance review for all the heads of directorates for the month of October in order to assertain the level of performance by each heads and the directorates in the various departments.

The aim is that, a well structured staff appraisal system can lead to employees’ motivation and increased productivity. This will, therefore, impact positively on corporate performance. Appraisal is one way of reinforcing a legitimate emphasis on employees’ performance which is very crucial if any organisation is to move forward or attained it’s aims and objectives.

In every organisation, the appraisal of staff performance plays a very critical role in the achievement of their corporate goals and objectives. When staffs are regularly appraised, areas of deficiency can easily be indentified and necessary action or correction can be put in place immediately to avert the inefficiency.

The MPR was anchored by Alh. Mukadam Asiwaju idris Asiru the interim constituted Chairman and his other team members including the auditor general of Local government, Hon. Usman Ododo, Hon. Muhammed sanni, Hon. Yakubu yunusa Okala, and the State Accountant General Alh. Momoh jimoh Jibril.

Each heads and all the directorates presented before the management and they were all critically evaluated based on their performance in their various heads and units. The following staff and the area office takes the lead as follows….

Lokoja 1 Area office came first as the number one performing Area tax office which is headed by Mr. Ibraheem Abdulazeez, while the Ajaokuta Area Tax office came second headed by Mr. Suberu Amuda, Third position is Kabba Area Tax office headed by Ogunleye Durojaiye Olatunde.

While commending the excercise, The IMC Chairman Hon. Idris Asiwaju implored the rest of the Area tax offices to emulate the lokoja 1 Area tax office for their hardwork and dedication, urged the staff to be committed to their duty that their can only be good reward to a successful staff who is dedicated to work in improving the revenue collection for the state.
