A philanthropist, Kenneth Imansuangbon, has urged well-meaning Nigerians to fight hunger.
He noted that it was imperative for highly-placed persons to touch lives with their resources, to give the less endowed a sense of belonging.
Imansuangbon, chairman of Pacesetters Group of Schools in Abuja, hails from Ewohimi in Esan Northeast Local Government of Edo State.
Popularly referred to as “Rice Man,” he spoke at his annual distribution of free bags of rice to Edo residents.
The distribution began at Agenebode, Etsako East, in Edo North, and Ewohimi in Edo Central, and will reach all 18 councils.
Imansuangbon, a governorship aspirant on the platform of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in last year’s election, also donated food items and cash to Christ Family Orphanage at Otoukwe in Agenebode.
He said he had embarked on the free rice distribution, prior to Christmas in the last 12 years to ameliorate the suffering of the people.
