A former Chairman of kaita local government area of Kastina State, Ibrahim Lawal Dankaba has expressed worries over the irregularities withnessed during the polls in kaita local Government area.
Hon. Dankaba who was also a former Chairman of the association of all local Government of Nigeria (ALGON), when he was the executive Chairman of Kaita local Government area of Katsina State, disclosed this to Newsmen at Dankaba, on Monday 11 April, 2022.
According to him, sensitive material like result sheets for the elections in all the polling unit in his ward for both Chairmanship and Councillorship positions were not provided or were withheld by the Kastina State independent electoral Commission (KSIEC),a development which he said has created doubt in the minds of the people about the Commission’s sincerity and neutrality in the exercise.
“as you can see the people have come out prepared for the exercise, but the absence of the results sheets have caused tension,if not for our presence and intervention there would have been chaos now”.
The former ALGON Chairman further expressed optimism in the ability of his party the people’s democratic party (PDP), to secure landslide victory if a level playing ground was provided, even as he called on members of his party to remain calm and law abiding during and after the exercise, if the results sheets were eventually provided.
