Kabba/Bunu LGA Chairman Imposes Curfew In Kabba And Its Environs, Restrict Movement Of Motorcycles And Persons Between 6am And 8pm Daily For Security Reasons

As the dust raised by the continuing killings in Yagba West LGA and Yagba East LGA is yet to settle, the Kabba/Bunu LGA authority, today declared a dusk-to-dawn curfew in the local government area, following incessant killings of people in the neighbouring cities.

The curfew takes effect from tomorrow, Monday 22 September 2025.

The Government of Kabba/Bunu LGA has announced that all motorcycle operators (Okada Riders), Keke Napep movement is now restricted to 6am to 7pm while, movement of persons and goods within the territory of the local government area is now between 6am and 8pm daily.

This follows the grave security situation in the neighbouring LGAs that has led to the gruesome killings of people and the security agents leading to instability of the area.

The Chairman has called for calm as security operatives have been deployed in their numbers to keep the peace in Kabba/Bunu LGA.

He vowed to lead the operation to all nooks and crannies of Kabba/Bunu LGA to flush out criminals who had in recent times, embarked on a stabbing-spree in the city and other parts of the local government area.

“The responsibility of any government is to secure the lives and properties of its citizens and I will not stay back and watch criminals continue to perpetrate evil in the local government area.

I called on the security apparatus of the local government to ensure a clampdown on the criminals, their hideouts and their cartels.

The directives is for our good, regardless of the inconveniences it might have caused, urged security agencies to ensure strict enforcement of the order.
