…. Commission ADC Campaign Offices Across Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu
Member representing Yagba federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Elder. Leke Abejide has commissioned campaign offices of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) across Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu federal constituency.
Elder. Leke who made the commissioning shortly after performing the foundation laying of Okun Unity House in Kabba where he donated 20 million naira and called for the support of all elites in Okunland for the project, endorsed Dr. Tokunbo Alaga Olorundami as ADC candidate for Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu House of Rep in the forthcoming election.
Introducing Dr. Tokunbo Olorundami to the council of Okun traditional rulers at the ground breaking event for Okun Unity House, Elder. Leke Abejide appealed for maximum support of the entire people of the constituency for the aspirant.
He reminded the people of the mega empowerment and sustained improvement to the life of the people of Yagba since his election.
According to him, Dr. Tokunbo Olorundami will work inline with the principles of the party (ADC), and perform the way he has been doing for the people in Yagba. WAEC fees will be paid just as it is done in Yagba, empowerment will be mega, similar to what is being done by him.
Elder Leke stated the need for the people of Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu federal constituency to look beyond party politics, primordial sentiments, and support whom he described as a refined young man for effective legislation at the green chamber.
Obaro of Kabba, Oba Solomon Owoniyi, in his address, thanked Elder. Leke Abejide for his open display of love for the people of the constituency, and his desires to see the people of Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu enjoy what those at Yagba are enjoying.
The monarch, while praying for Dr. Tokunbo Olorundami, admonished him not to stop making inputs in the development of the constituency at large.
At the palace of Olu Adde of Ekinrin-Adde, mammoth crowd were seen surrounding the palace when Dr. Tokunbo Alaga Olorundami who hails from the community stepped in with Hon. Elder. Leke Abejide to pay homage at the palace.
The Olu Adde of Ekinrin Adde, Oba Anthony Bamigbaiye Idowu expressed joy over the decision of Dr. Tokunbo to bring his wealth of experience home by contesting for political position in the constituency.
The monarch noted that considering Dr. Tokunbo’s vibrancy, and closeness to the Westminster Parliament, he thought he was going to vie for Parliament at the United Kingdom but now that he decided to come home, it was a big win for the people of Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu federal constituency.
