JUNE 12: YAKUBU FANCY FELICITATES GOV BELLO, CANVASSES VOTERS’ SUPPORT FOR ODODO

The convener of Fancy Media Team, Hon. Siyaka Yakubu has felicitated Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, executive on the occasion of 2023 Democracy Day.

This is contained in a message made available to the media through his office, where he also used the occasion to appeal to the people of the state to sustain their support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its candidate in the November 11th governorship election, Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman.

The convener, who applauded former leaders of Nigeria and Kogi State for the sacrifices made to nurture democracy to its current level, enjoined the people of the state to continue to tolerate one another to ensure unity of purpose and direction for the growth of the entire state.

He urged the people not to allow tribal and religious extremists to deceive them, noting that they should stay focused to the ideals of democracy.

In the message, Hon Siyaka stressed, ‘Democracy as we know it is a result of many years of discomfort endured by many elder statesmen, some of who paid the ultimate sacrifice for us to enjoy it. Let’s not lose sight of that.

“Here in Kogi State, people like Late Sunday Awoniyi, Steven Achema, Stephen Olorunfemi, A.T Ahmed, Prince Abubakar Audu and others also paid the ultimate sacrifice to ensure democracy is nurtured. We must not forget that.

“Kogi is moving forward and His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Bello is also working hard to leave a lasting legacy of development behind in every part of the state. It is the same spirit that is guiding our party’s flag bearer, Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman (OAU) who is passionate about developing the state in its entirety.

“I therefore appeal to the electorate in Kogi State to continue to believe in the APC and sustain their support for our candidate so that we can win the November 11th governorship election in a landslide manner.”
