… Says you’re truly a worthy Ambassador
The Kogi State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party has sent a message of congratulations to former Gov. Ibrahim Idris on the conferment of the Traditional Title As the Jakandan of the Sultanate Council by His Eminence, Alhaji Muhammadu Sa’adu Abubakar CFR III.
The Sultan of Sokoto, Chairman Sokoto Traditional Council and Religious Leader of Nigeria’s Muslim Community today in Sokoto honoured the former Governor with the prestigious title.
The PDP in a statement signed by Hon. Bode Ogunmola, State Publicity Secretary of the party, said without mincing words, the title of the Jakadan, meaning an Ambassador of the Sultanate Council, aptly fits the former Governor.
The party notes that the title underscores his attachment to the caliphate where he cut his teeth in business described him as a worthy Ambassador per excellence.
The PDP says the honour did not come as a surprise, pointing out that the former Governor encapsulate and has all the attributes of a Quintessential Ambassador.
According to the statement: ” We are proud of your accomplishments. Your sterling leadership qualities, which has been acknowledged by many over the years, has once again singled you out as an Ambassador of the most revered Sultanate.
It is our earnest prayers that this newly added feathers by the Sultanate will once again offer you the opportunity to continue to contribute your quota to the growth and development of the Sultanate.
We are more than ever before confident that with your Midas touch as the Jakandan Sokoto, the Sultanate will continue to witness tremendous blessings and prosperity and by extension endow the entire Northern Nigeria with new frontiers of opportunities, peace and progress.
