Isanlu and Environ Agog For APC and Dr. Dare Venza, As It Flags Off…
The All Progressive Congress (APC) Campaign Council in Yagba East, projecting the candidacy of Dr. Monday Joshua Dare, popularly known as Venza today transversed Isanlu kingdom, after flagging off at the open field in Itedo-Makutu.
The event, which attracted politicians across the political parties in Yagba East, saw Elder Hon. Leke Abejide of the Federal House of Representatives, representing the good people of Yagba East, ably represented by the Deputy Director General, Hon. Samuel Adebola Ghadafi, the Chairman of the Campaign Council, Alhaji Abdulrasak Ijagbemi Ashiru, the Deputy Chairman, Dr. Jubril Ahmadu and the Director General, Hon. Emmanuel Obaro, who is representing the good people of Yagba East in the state House of Assembly.
The Secretary to the State Government, Mama (Dr.) Folashade Arike Ayoade and the ever versatile Commissioner for Finance and Economic Development in Kogi State, Alhaji Mukadam Asiwaju Idris Ashiru were on ground to add colours to the occasion and ensured, that the hard working and dynamic Governor of the state, His Excellency _maverick_ Ododo Ahmed Usman was well represented.
Others were a long list of eminent leaders across the ten wards of the Local Government, party Councilorship Candidates from the ten wards, State Appointees and party members as they beseeched the venue in their colours, as early as possible.
The party Chairman, Chief Hon. Kehinde Atteh, who welcome people to the flag off also reeled out names of Committee Members, who where formally inaugurated by a legal luminary, who administered the oath..
In her words, the SSG called on the people to see the candidate as a uniting factor and ensure that the party comes out of it stronger, while Alhaji Mukadam Asiwaju sued for peace and oneness in all ramifications, reminding the people that only God, puts people in offices: while both of them, stated clearly that the good works of His Excellency, Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman, is a pointer to a viable state, whose foundation for development was no doubt set on course by it leader, Alhaji (Dr.) Yahaya Adoza Bello CON, the immediate past Governor of the State.
The representative of Hon. Leke Abejide, who is also his Chief of Staff, told the people that their principal is neck deep in Dr. Dare Venza’s project and assured all, that their journey to APC in the state is just around the corner.
Dr. Jubril Ahmadu, who also addressed the people in Hausa language to satisfy the taste of the Hausa listeners and community, said the days of destroying people to get relevance was gone in politics and asked everyone to take politics as a game with values. In his own submission, the Chairman of the Campaign Council, see the candidature of Dr. Dare Venza as one ordained by God and asked every party member to align for the good of all, while the Director General left no one in doubt, about his representation prowess and capabilities, holding the audience spell bound as he encouraged members not to do anything inimical against the party, he went further to tell the crowd in simple terms that, a good turn deserves another and attributed the success of the exercise to the positive contributions by all members of the party and the Campaign Council..
The team left for ward 7 in Makutu, visited Iddo, Idofin and Ilafin as part of ward 10, while it was in Ijowa and Mopo to address the good people of ward 9, having held the event proper in ward eight, the home turf of Hon. Emmanuel Obaro the DG of the Project.
While speaking at the event and towns visited, the candidate, Dr. Dare Venza, reassured the people, that he will run an open door policy where, all with good intentions can key in, he added that, the APC has become a household name in Yagba East. The Chairmanship candidate, told the people, “I wouldn’t have been the candidate without you, wonderful people”, stating that, the local government belongs to all.
Good will messages were delivered by some political juggernauts, like Hon. Ayopemi, Hon Tajudeen Bako, the Ibo and Ebira Communities, while, Hon. Tayo Johnson popularly known as Generator, confirmed the support of the ADC as a party for Dare Venza, nothing that, this is the first time, it is happening that all persons will rally behind a candidate who also has no opponent.
Friends of the party were encouraged to formalize their membership of the party and make it more merrier by casting their votes for the APC on Saturday the 19th of October, 2024
The Campaign train will continue tomorrow, as it hits Oke Oyi axis of the Local Government covering towns like Ejuku, Ife-Olukotun, Alu, Jege and others from ward one to six to ensure that the entire Local Government is covered and interacted with.
