… Urges women to stay safe, protected
The President, Northern Ladies Network, Hajiya Ramatu Mohamed has sent a message of felicitations to Nigerian Women on the occasion of this year’s International Women’s Day, with a call on them to stay protected and safe.
According to a statement signed by the President, said this is certainly a new time, described the ravaging Covid-19 pandemics as one that has brought a new norms and lifestyle.
While she expressed thanks for the covid19 vaccines, she encouraged women to observe the protocols of social distancing, using Face mask , Hand Sanitisers and washing of hands in other to tame the ravaging virus.
The President described the theme of 2021 international day themed : “WOMEN IN LEADERSHIP: ACHIEVING AN EQUAL FUTURE IN A COVID-19 WORLD,” as apt and coming at a better time said it is aimed at seeking how women can be equal partners in decision-making processes, especially those regarding policymaking.
The President charged all women at all strata of life, to rise above every limitations and stand to be counted without which the will be a manipulating tool in the competitive and repressing world.
Hajia Ramatu congratulated women on the celebration of the International Women Day, called on government at all levels to stand up to the rights of women in empowering them and protecting them.
