INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY 2023 Theme: DigitALL: Innovation and technology for gender equality.

Every year, International Women’s Day is celebrated on March 8 across the world. It’s a day when everyone shows appreciation, love, and respect towards women.
A woman is said to be a beautiful creation of God! It is a fact that all great personalities are born from the woman’s womb and have taken their initial teachings from a woman. And that is why people give due respect to women in their lives.

The main aim of Women’s Day is to celebrate the achievements of Women in various fields and the roles they play which could be that they are an artist, a teacher, administrators, politicians, Nurse, or scientists.
It is also important to raise awareness about Women’s rights and gender parity.

Around the world, Women are not given equal opportunities. So it is important to have a Day that reaches out and helps in solving all the discrimination that is happening against women.

This year International Women’s Day (IWD), Community Assistance and Relief Foundation (CARES FOUNDATION NIG) reaffirms its commitment to achieving gender equality for all women and girls.

The digital revolution will offer transformative opportunities for the empowerment of women and girls. Increasing their access to economic, educational, and social opportunities within technology has the power to not only unlock their potential but also that of their communities and societies.

At the same time, women and girls continue to face many barriers in accessing technology, not only in terms of infrastructure and affordability, but also due to discrimination and unequal access to skill development opportunities. It can be even more difficult for women and girls in the rural communities.

CARES FOUNDATION invites you all to re-imagine technology that facilitates digital, financial, and social inclusion for all genders and promote gender equality.
