Newly recruited Kogi State Secondary School Teachers have been cautioned against examination fraud as the State frowns at issues related to examination fraud.
The Kogi State Commissioner For Education Science and Technology, Hon Wemi Jones gave the charge at the ongoing induction training for the Teachers, holding at St. Augustine College, Kabba, said the State is not known for examination fraud, cautioned that any body caught aiding and abetting examination fraud will be summarily dismissed.
The Commissioner admonished the Teachers on good conduct and etiquette, said anyone caught in such act will be summarily dismissed.
Hon. Jones lauded Gov. Yahaya Bello for his commitment to revamping education, praised him for the thorough process that took place leading to the employment that produced them as Teachers.
The Commissioner urged the Teachers to put in their best to justify the employment, pointing out that out of 17000 applicants, 7000 who were shortlisted for aptitude test, with those who scored 40 percent made to sit for the oral interview, congratulated them for emerging as the best of the best.
Hon. Jones described their emergence as the divine mercy of God and not because they know Gov. Bello or the commissioner, but because God has destined that at this critical stage of the State life, they will be teachers in the State.
While assuring that the enabling environment has been created for the teachers to operate at optimum in the State, welcome them to the State service, urged them to be worthy ambassadors.
