Sophie Nkem Uzodimma, daughter of the Executive Governor, IMO state His Excellency Hope Uzodimma, launched the Scholarship scheme for Female final year students in Public owned higher institutions of learning located in Enugu or Imo State.
The launch of the Scholarship scheme named “Sophie Uzodimma Onovo Women’s Undergraduate Scholarship”, was part of activities to mark the 2023 International day of girls child.
Performing the launch on behalf of the Governor’s daughter, Beanard Ajewole Acting Executive Director VOWE Foundation said the eligibility criteria for applicants includes been a female final year students in public (Government-owned) higher institutions of learning located in Enugu or Imo State, Nigeria.
He added that applicants “must be of Enugu or Imo State origin”.
“Applicants must have difficulty paying for tuition fees”.
“Interested applicants are required to submit a 500-word essay explaining why they should be considered for the Sophie Uzodimma Onovo Women’s Undergraduate Scholarship”.
“Application deadline is on or before October 30, 2023. The selection process which is the submitted essay is an integral criterion for the selection of eligible beneficiaries”.
