I’m the Duly Elected Kogi PDP Chairman, Awaiting Inauguration – Hon. Muhammad Sani Gambo
The first runner up in the last Kogi State People’s Democratic Party Congress, Hon. Muhammad Sani Gambo said he remains the authentic State Chairman of PDP, asked to be sworn In immediately.
Hon. Muhammad cautioned against impersonation by Enemona Anyebe, said he has been parading himself as the State Chairman of the Party even when the matter challenging his mischievous emergence as Chairman in an election he didn’t participate is ongoing in court.
While pointing out that the NWC should call Anyebe and his cohorts in the Kogi PDP parading him as Chairman to desist, pointing out that his actions that are fraudulent is making the party a laughing stock.
Hon. Muhammad said his emergence as second runner up and who should be sworn in as Kogi PDP Chairman was divine said no longer will illegality be allowed to fester in the party, added that Anyebe was never qualified to be Chairman.
Hon. Muhammad wondered who could have been more mischievous between he who had a clean slate to contest and the person who was not cleared to contest, an individual who disobeyed court order, was not screen for lack of qualification to contest, was barred by a competent court from contesting and having not screened and to contest, was further stepped down by the NWC from Inauguration, would be mischievously parading himself as Chairman, as heights of impunity, described all the actions of Anyebe as the greatest political mischief.
Hon. Muhammad made the disclosure in a statement while reacting to an interview by Enemona on Arise Television and statement signed by Alhaji Tijani Aruwa where they alledged that Hon. Muhammad was only being mischievous by addressing Press Conference and issuing releases as mischief, however described the actions of Enemona who was not a candidate but have paraded himself as Chairman as the greatest mischief ever in political history.
” I was the first runner up in the August 31 Congress. I should be Sworn In immediately because nature abhors vacuum. It is criminal for Anyebe to have ever paraded himself. Anyone that has ever recognized him as Chairman is also criminally culpable”.
“I call on well meaning members of the public to note that Anyebe was never and can never be Chairman of Kogi PDP because he didn’t and was never a contestant in the August 31 Congress. It is unfortunate that the said Anyebe and PDP will ask me to wait for the outcome of the court before I’m being sworn in”.
” I’m happy that in his reaction, the said Anyebe said the matter challenging his his absurdity to assume the Chairmanship of Kogi PDP forceful is in court. Nobody should therefore recognize Anyebe as Chairman and since he knows that the matter is in court, why is he parading himself as Chairman. At one point he presented flags to Candidates of our Party and at another time he sneaked into the NWC meeting in Abuja. This actions all amount to mischief of the highest order reason why I called on security agencies to arrest him if he does impersonate again”.
” Let me place on record that the NWC stepped him down on the day of the Inauguration of the newly elected executive Members. I’m the duely elected Chairman and should be sworn in by the NWC to perform my responsibility because Enemona was never a contestant”.
“Enough of illegality in Kogi PDP. I wonder who is mischievous. If Anyebe who was stopped by court, yet fraudulently paraded and impersonated as Chairman when he was never a contestant. As at the date of Congress, a competent court barred him from presenting himself. He went ahead to present flags and sneaked into NWC meeting in Abuja. This for me is mischief that would not be tolerated in Kogi PDP”
” You can’t be above the order of court. We are not a banana Republic. I’m the duely elected Kogi PDP Chairman. Anyebe was never a contestant, had no form, was not screened, was stopped by Court.
I’m the elected Chairman of Kogi PDP who should be sworn in. We must stop illegality by obeying the constitution”.
Hon. Muhammad called on the NWC, all the relevant National and State organs of the PDP and constitutional lawyers to wade into the matter in Kogi, cautioned against the illegality ongoing in the PDP, pointing out that if not checked the PDP will not present candidates for future election like it happened in other States, asked that he be sworn in as the Kogi State PDP Chairman
having been so elected at the Congress.
