I’ll do everything humanly possible to protect lives and properties of Kogi citizens – Gov. Yahaya Bello.


 

Gov. Yahaya Bello has promised to protect the lives and properties of citizens in the State stressing that enough is enough as the time for action against insurgency and other forms of insecurity in the country is now.

 

The Governor reiterated his commitment to ensuring that the State remains peaceful when he received in audience the three APC Senatorial District Flagbearers for the February election in Government House Lokoja, maintained that this is not the time to continue with motions on the floor of the National Assembly, but the time for action against insurgents, kidnappers and other forms of criminality in the country.

According to Gov. Bello;
” I will do everything humanly possible to protect the lives and properties of the citizens of Kogi State”.

The three APC Senatorial District Flagbearers were led on the visit by Senator Jubril Isah Echocho, alongside Hon Karimi Sunday Steve and Engr Ohere, came to pay a solidarity visit to the governor over the recent security breach that occurred in Ajaokuta.

Gov. Bello assured the visitors and the citizens of the State as a whole that this is not the time for motions on the floors of the National Assembly without action that would bring the activities of insurgents and kidnappers amongst other criminality to there knees.

According to Gov. Bello, there has been several motions and resolutions in the last seven years that has yielded no fruitful results, lamented that Nigerians have continued to suffer, killed and deprived of their daily needs.

The Governor regretted that farmers can no longer have rest of mind going to their farms, assured that such unhealthy situation will never be allowed to continue, said what ever is humanly possible, his administration would do so as not to allow insurgents from within or outside the country be allowed to operate in the State.

Gov. Bello stressed that enough is enough of people living in fear, promised to recover all for his people. He pointed out that you can not deprive the people of their rights to legitimately carry out businesses without fear of insecurity.

The visibly angry Gov. Bello who Looked disturbed by the level of insecurity in the country at the meeting, a look at his face when he met with the APC Flagbearers, showed that he had sleepless nights. Even while with his visitors, he was constantly being inaundated with situation report coming in from the vigilantees and security team even while with the APC Senatorial District Flagbearers.

Gov. Bello was very resolute and determined at the meeting with the APC Flagbearers to restore peace and order to every nook and crannies of the State, says he will do all within his reach to protect lives and properties.
