The National President of Igala Students Association, Comr. Ocheni Christian Odiba ( Alapa ), has recanted his earlier comments made against the Senator Representing Kogi East, Alhaji Jibrin Isah Echocho for distancing himself from the plights of students of the district.
Comr. Ocheni in an interview with Thenigerianpost, said he was misquoted by a section of the media, however says the need for Igala Students Association Members to get the deserved attention from the Senator and other elected representatives remains cardinal expressed worries that his message was misunderstood and misquoted by a section of the press.
While he assured of a working relationship existing between the ISA with the Senator Representing the Eastern Senatorial District, he called on the elected representatives to give listening ears to ISA saying there doors remain open.
The National President pointed out that the youths constitute the majority in population, wants opportunities to reach elected and serving Political stakeholders, said the need for constant interactions and dialogue with the Youths as expressed in his interview remains his cardinal message towards stemming the antisocial vices presently associated with the Youths.
The National President of Igala Students Association commended Members of ISA for there peaceful conduct during the#ENDSARS protest recently witnessed across the country, urged them to remain law abiding and respectful to constituted authorities.
The National President used the medium to apologise for the inconveniences the misrepresentation made by the media would have caused, said it was unfortunate, assuring that ISA would remain resolute in demanding for wellbeing of its members.
