I killed my father to inherit his properties

A 25-year-old man, Abubakar Mohammed Buba, has been arrested by policemen in Niger State for allegdly killing his father.

The Niger State Police Command image maker, DSP Wasiu Abiodun, in a statement said the suspect confessed to killing his father to inherit his properties.

According to the statement, the deceased, Mohammed Buba aged 52 years, was attacked and stabbed to death at his residence in the Chanchaga area of Minna, the State capital.

His corpse was severed and packed in a sack and dumped at Tagwai-Dam where it was recovered by police detectives.

DSP Abiodun said the suspect further confessed to had contracted and paid the sum of N100,000 to one 26-year-old Aliyu Muhammed, now at large, to assist him in carrying out the dastardly act.

According to him, police detectives are in the trail of the fleeing accomplice and will ensure he is arrested and brought to justice.
