I have so far spent N183million in payment of WAEC fee in Yagba Fed. Const. – Hon. Elder Leke Abejide


 

The Member Representing Yagba Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Elder Leke Abejide says he has so far spent N183 million in the payment of WAEC fee for students within his constituency in the last three years.

 

 

 

Elder Leke Abejide says providing Educational support to the people of his Constituency has remained a long time passion, assured that it will continue until the end of his tenure.

 

Hon. Leke Abejide, Member Representing Yagba Federal Constituency made the disclosure at an interaction with Journalists, said his passion for his people to get educated informed his passion promised to continue with the payment of the WAEC fee for students of the constituency.

The Lawmaker disclosed that with Education people are better equipped and empowered to face the challenges of life, said education remains his focus towards Lifting People out of darkness into light.

He assured that every child in Yagba Federal Constituency will continue to enjoy his benevolent in the payment of final year Examination fee for students into until the end of his tenure in the House of Representatives.

Under his representation, he disclosed that he has passed about fifteen bills and motion thus far in the House of Representatives, said he remained the Lawmaker with the highest bill and motion passed in the current House of Representatives.

He added that his commitment to the widows of his constituency in providing them clothing, foodstuffs and other support would be sustained, insisting that his passion for the widows knows no bound.

He further informed that due to his love for the improvement in the health needs of the people, he has procured and made available hospital equipment worth N50million to health Institutions in federal Constituency.

He said his desire to make his representation felt at the grassroots made him to appoint about one hundred and fifty political aides, said under his representation, roads are undergoing construction in the three local government areas that make up his Constituency.

The Lawmaker further informed that under his representation, he has made the provision of Employment opportunities for people of his federal Constituency, disclosed further that he has made the welfare and upkeep of the traditional institution his priority.

Hon. Leke Abejide says he is in support of the voting and transmission of results in the forthcoming election, said he voted for electronic transmission of results.

Speaking at the visit, Comr Adeiza Mimohjimoh, Kogi State Chairman of the NUJ, described Elder Leke Abejide as a grassroots politician to the core who’s passion for his people remains unquantifiable.

The NUJ Chairman lauded Elder Leke Abejide for making and sustaining his campaign promises since he was elected, commended the service oriented qualities of the member representing Yagba Federal Constituency, assured him of a brighter and rewarding future if he continues in his stead of selfless service to the people.

Earlier in a welcome remarks, Hon.Shola Adebola, the Chief of Staff to the member representing Yagba Federal Constituency, said the interaction with Journalists with Journalists was to hear from the horses mouth the laudable accomplishments of Elder Leke Abejide with two years of his representation.
