The Kogi State Commissioner For Education, Science and Technology, Hon Wemi Jones has called on well meaning individuals and organizations to Join hands with the State Government in building the education sector.
Hon. Jones made the call at the grand breaking ceremony of 2 blocks of classroom initiated by Olayinka Braimoh Initiative at Kiri High School Araromi, Kabba/Bunu Local Govt Area, says all over the world, government is working with well meaning organizations and individuals to build the education sector, says it is no longer left for Government to do it alone.
Hon. Jones described the initiative of Olayinka Braimoh as an initiative as envisioned by Gov. Yahaya Bello, urged all other well meaning individuals to emulate the good gesture of Olayinka Braimoh Initiative.
The Commissioner disclosed that the State Government has concluded arrangements to start the renovation of all schools across the State, described the commitment to Education by Gov. Yahaya Bello as unprecedented in the State’s history.
Towards ensuring the manpower need of secondary schools in the State, Hon. Jones says the State Government will this week release the first list of 1500 successful teachers who passed the teachers aptitude test for induction and orientation before posting them to schools.
