Member representing Lokoja/Kogi Federal Constituency of Kogi State, Hon. Shaba Ibrahim, MHR; has been appointed by Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, as Chairman, Nigeria/Russia Parliamentary Group.
The letter from the Office of the Clerk of the House of Representatives, which was dated July 15th 2021, addressed to the Office of the Chairman, Nigeria/Russia Friendship Group, read in part; “On Tuesday, 6 July, 2021, Mr. Speaker announced the composition of Nigeria/Russia Friendship Group as reflected in the Corrigendum of Thursday, 15 July 2021 as follows”.
Members of the Group include; Hon. Bede Eke, Hon. Saidu Musa Abdullahi, Hon. Femi Bamisile, Hon. Zakariya Galadima, Hon. Julius Pondi, Hon. Ladan Muktar Shehu, Hon. Kukar Gana Kareto, Hon. Longgap Komsol Alphonsus, Hon. Alli Adeyemi Taofeek and Hon. Olododo Cook.
Mr Chairman, Hon. Shaba Ibrahim, has since appreciated Mr Speaker for the kind gesture. He promised to use the office to improve on the parliamentary relations between Nigeria and Russia.
He also dedicated the appointment to his constituents, the good people of Lokoja/Kogi Federal Constituency whose trust in him has never been in doubt and has been the driving force that keeps him going as a lawmaker.
