HON. OMOFAIYE VICTOR ADEWALE ATTENDS KOGI STATE EXECUTIVE COUNCIL MEETING OF THURSDAY 26TH AUGUST, 2021 AT THE EXCO HALL, LUGARD HOUSE, KOGI STATE GOVERNMENT HOUSE, LOKOJA.

The meeting was Chaired by the Chairman of Council and Executive Governor of the State, His Excellency, Alh. Yahaya Bello. It was attended by the Deputy Governor, Secretary to the State Government, Hon. Omofaiye Victor Adewale Commissioner for Environment and all other Council Members.
The following are some of the resolutions at the meeting:
The Chairman of Council, HE Alh. Yahaya Bello urged the New Direction Team to continue to strive hard to improve the lot of the citizens of the state. He thanked them for doing well, but he said he wants more from his team.
Council considered and approved the memo seeking the construction of GYB Model Science Secondary Schools (GYBMSSS) at Okene and Lokoja and the Renovation/Remodeling of the Government Girls’ Unity Secondary School (GGUSS), Oboroke in Okehi LGA and Ajibola Community Secondary School, (CSS), Ajiyolo-Ojaji (Dekina LGA). The Governor used the occasion to declare war on poor infrastructures in our Secondary Schools and raise all of them to high standards and also emphasis on closure of all unregistered school.
The memo on the proposed provision of solar-powered streetlights for Kabba Township Roads was considered and approved. This is to build on the heroics of the ongoing rehabilitation and reconstruction of Kabba township roads.
Council considered and approved the engagement of MESSRS UMSURIQ CONCEPT NIG. LTD as project consultant to the state to ensure we get value for money and deliver high quality projects to the good people of Kogi State.
Council considered and approved the regulation of outdoor advertising to improve revenue generation, aesthetics of our towns and cities and ensure sanity.
