There could be no other better time for His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo to charge Kogi State political appointees on “operation deliver your constituency” than now. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has flung the doors open for full fledged campaigns for the 2027 general elections. It is therefore time for politicians in the country to swing into action by selling their manifesto to the electorates.
When His Excellency, the Chief Servant of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo charged the entire political appointees in the state to use their various positions in canvassing for votes for all the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates in the 2027 general elections, he was on time.
It is often said time has no respect for procrastination. Every thing in life hangs on time. For His Excellency, time is of essence and hence he swiftly moved and convened a meeting of political appointees on Tuesday August 25, 2026 at the Glass House of Government House Lokoja and gave them the matching order to ensure that the state leads across the country in delivering the APC in the 2027 general elections.
The seriousness of the meeting boils down to the fact that His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo personally addressed the meeting. He made it clear that as the Chief Executive of the state, he too is involved in the campaigns. If the number one politician in the state is involved in directing the APC political campaigns in the state, no political appointee would have any reason not to fully mobilize his community for a landslide victory of the party in the state in the forth coming 2027 general elections.
His Excellency, the Chief Servant of Kogi State has done a lot for the people of the state. In terms of appointment no ward or community is not offered political appointments in the state. On the rehabilitation of roads he has ensured that each Senatorial district in the state has its own share of roads rehabilitation. The Governor has therefore been doing his best in touching the lives of Kogi people living at the grassroots.
The workers at the state and Local Government levels have been given priority attention by the Chief Servant of the state, His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo. Salaries are paid between the 22nd and 24th of every month. Today the workers in the state can plan on their monthly emoluments because they are sure of its promptness every month. This is the more reason His Excellency is referred to as the worker friendly governor of Kogi State.
His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo operates an open door policy in his administration. He is a father and a listener to all shades of opinion. He is open to criticism and he absorbs them with every political wisdom required.
The governor has done a lot and still counting for the people of the state. His clarion call to all the political appointees in the state to return to their communities and wards and campaign vigorously for the victory of APC in the 2027 general elections must therefore be heeded with zeal by all the Aides of the state government.
To my fellow political appointees, let me say as we zoom into the campaigns, let’s not forget that Governor Ododo’s one term deserves another term come 2027 Kogi State governorship election.
