Hon. Ndako Distributes Food Items To Constituents For Ramadan 


 

The Deputy Majority Leader of the Kogi State House of Assembly and member representing Lokoja 11 State Constituency, Hon. Idris Ndako, has donated food items to the people of his constituency as part of his annual Iftar.

He distributed the items to the beneficiaries at his Felele residence to Muslims on Monday.

Among the food items distributed by Ndako, were rice, beans, millet, sugar and spaghetti.

Part of the items were also distributed to orphanage homes within his constituency.

Ndako said that the gesture was aimed at cushioning the effects of the various challenges experienced by people last year.

He said that the team distributing the items had ensured that the distribution was handled effectively in order to reach those in genuine need at this time of the year.

The lawmaker promised to unveil new projects very soon, assuring that he would not relent in giving necessary support to his constituency.

In his Ramadan message, Ndako urged Muslims to continue to promote peaceful coexistence, love and tolerance beyond Ramadan period.

He said meaningful development can only take place in an atmosphere devoid of rancour and acrimony.

The lawmaker appealed to all Muslim faithful to continue to embrace love and tolerance so that the Country can witnessed a rapid growth and development as intended by the President, Muhammadu Buhari.

“I urged you all to live in peace with one another and imbibe the spirit of tolerance for the progress of the Country, as no meaningful development can take place in a crisis-filled society”

“Islam, as stated in holy Qur’an is a religion of peace that upholds the values of love for one another and peaceful coexistence”

“I therefore celebrate with all muslim faithfuls of my Constituency, Kogi state and Nigeria at large, as we begin this year’s Ramadan fasting.

“It is my ultmost wish and prayer that the Almighty Allah bless you all with happiness and accept our acts of Ibadah during and after the fast.

Some of the beneficiaries, who spoke at the occasion, extolled Ndoko’s gestures, describing it as unprecedented in the history of the constituency.

“We really appreciate this kind gesture and we pray God grants him heart desires and cause the spirits of all the people has provided food for pave greater ways for him,” they said.
