… Appeals To Gov. Bello To Reconsider Decision
The Magongo Development Association has described as a white lie, the allegation of terrorism levelled against their son, Hon. Moses Akande, Member, Representing Ogori Magongo State Constituency in the State Assembly.
In a statement signed by Akpata Jordan and Johnson Magongo, President and Secretary respectively, issued to Newsmen in Lokoja read thus:
” We the entire people of Magongo community in Ogori magongo LGA, Kogi State use this forum to refute the allegation leveled against our son, Hon. Moses AKANDE, Member Representing Ogori Magongo constituency in the Kogi State House of Assembly that he is a terrorist.
” Our son has been a complete gentleman and has never been known or linked with any societal Vice, least to mention, terrorism.
” As a politician, he has always been a responsible individual and goes about his political activities with high sense of responsibility.
” We recall that Hon. Moses AKANDE was suspended along with eight others who were suspended by the Kogi State House of Assembly for allegedly involving in terrorist activities.
” We therefore, appeal to the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, and the Kogi State House of Assembly to reconsider their decision on this matter”, the Statement read
