Chief Olaolu Ejio, a business tycoon, farmer and former Special Adviser to the Chairman, Yagba West Local Government Area, Kogi State, has been installed as Ejio of Isaba in Egbeland.
The traditional ceremony of his installation took place, last Thursday, July 13th at the sacred Irele Groove, Egbe last week, amid Pomp and pageantry.
It was a glorious occasion and one without rancour as the new Ejio of Isaba matched from Irele Groove to his jubilant people in Isaba where the other chiefs and community people were entertained.
Who is MARK OLAOLU (the new EJIO of Isaba)?
Chief Olaolu Mark Ejio hails from Idiogun/Agbofo clan in Isaba community and he is the son of the renowned politician in Yagbaland in the 1980s and one time best farmer in the old Kwara State, late Chief Mark J. Ejio.
Chief Mark Olaolu attended ECWA OLSMB Primary School Oke-Egbe between 1974-1980. From there he went to Titcombe college, Egbe. After his secondary education, he proceeded to the Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin School of Basic Studies (SBS) programme that took him to University of Ilorin, Ilorin, where he obtained Bachelor’s of Science (BS.c) degree in Geography. He was a classroom teacher at Queen’s School, Ibadan for three years. He later moved to Fivatek, a private company at Lagos as Marketing Manager from where he was transferred to Port Harcourt branch of the company. Chief Olaolu Ejio later joined Petroenergy Oil Servicing Company as Logistic Manager.
During this period in Port Harcourt, the new Chief Ejio had his Master’s in Bachelor’s degree (MBA) from University of Calabar.
Responding to a reporter’s question on why he decided to leave Port Harcourt for Egbe, his hometown, he replied that at the time the issue of kidnapping had been so rampant in the Niger Delta region, especially in the oil rich Rivers State, which he considered to be “unpalatable”.
Describing Chief Ejio’s personality, one of the community leaders who graced the installation ceremony said: “One thing I know about this new Chief Ejio is that he is always calm and possesses a good listening ear. A big congratulations
to the Ejio of our Egbeland”.
