The Edo State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Lucky Eseigbe, has congratulated the Chief Press Secretary to the Edo State Government, Mr. Fred Itua, on his formal induction into the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) as an Associate.

The induction ceremony, held in Abuja on Friday, 12th September 2025, brought together leading voices in governance, communication, and public relations, further underscoring the prestige of the NIPR as the country’s foremost professional body regulating and advancing the practice of public relations.

In his goodwill message, Hon. Lucky Eseigbe described Mr. Itua’s induction is “a well-deserved recognition of hard work, professionalism, and dedication to the noble art of public relations and governance communication.”

According to the Commissioner, the Edo State Government has once again been placed in the national spotlight with this achievement. “This milestone is not just personal to Mr. Itua, but a proud moment for Edo State. His professionalism continues to enhance our government’s image, and his recognition by NIPR will further strengthen the credibility and integrity of our communication machinery,” Hon. Eseigbe stated.

The Commissioner further emphasized that Edo State values capacity building, professionalism, and excellence among its officials. He praised Mr. Itua’s consistent delivery of effective communication strategies, which, he said, have positioned the state government as transparent and people-focused.

With this induction, Fred Itua joins the rank of certified public relations practitioners recognized by the chartered institute to uphold global standards of ethics, integrity, and transparency in the profession.
