This is another best time for Hon. Leke Abejide, member representing Yagba East, Yagba West and Mopamuro Federal Constituency in Kogi State, a well-known community builder, entrepreneur and distinguished man of honour that have earned the grace of His Royal Majesty and bagged the award of conferment from H.R.H Oba Ayodele Irukera, the Elegbe of Egbe Ajamato II and has consequently been conferred with a Chieftaincy title of “Maiyegun of Egbeland”.
The Elegbe of Egbe’s recognition of Hon. Leke Abejide is one of the pleasant news, as His Royal Majesty was represented by Chief Rotimi Akenson the Lisa and Chief Thomas Adeoye (Ariwajoye of Egbe of Egbe land) as they presented the letter of Chieftancy as Maiyegun of Egbe Land to Hon. Leke Abejide.
HRH Oba Irukera said in a conversation with Hon. Leke that the Chieftaincy title is being conferred on him considering his
good deeds, love for development and because he has done well to have written his name in the Golden Book in Egbe community and his records of excellent service delivery across Yagba Land. He appreciated his meritorious contributions that have raised the bars, earning him a royal appreciation and blessings.
Therefore, the chieftaincy title in addition to others he has previously been honoured with in several communities is meant to be a distinguishing feather on his cap.
The conferment ceremony which was previously officially slated for October 9th and was to be held at the Palace of Elegbe of Egbe in Yagba West but has been postponed for some reasons. The conferment ceremony will be announced as soon as possible when date is rescheduled.
Hon. Leke Abejide has acknowledged the kind gestures and recognition from the people of Egbe through the Royal Father and his Council of Elders in Egbe.
Acccepting the Chieftancy title with gratitude and promised to continue to serve, promote and keep providing right leadership for not only Egbe people but the entire Yagba Federal Constituency that would enable prosperity across Yagba Land.
