Hon. Haruna Ganaja Engages United Widows Foundation, Pledges Inclusive Governance and People-Centered Development in Ajaokuta
The APC Chairmanship Candidate for Ajaokuta Local Government Area, Hon. Mohammed Haruna Ganaja, on held a productive meeting with members of the United Widows Foundation, Kogi State Chapter, led by the State Coordinator, Mrs. Jenat Kaka Edah.
The engagement centered on the welfare of widows, social inclusion, and practical steps to strengthen support systems for vulnerable persons through collaboration between community groups and government at all levels.
Welcoming Hon. Ganaja, Mrs. Edah commended him for his openness and commitment to dialogue. She noted that the United Widows Foundation remains committed to partnering with government — from the Presidency, to the National Assembly, the Kogi State House of Assembly, and the Ajaokuta LGA — to advocate policies and programs that uplift widows and families across Kogi State.
In his response, Hon. Haruna Ganaja applauded the foundation for its consistent humanitarian work and reaffirmed that the welfare of women, widows, youths, and other vulnerable groups will remain at the heart of his administration if elected.
“Sustainable development is not possible without inclusive governance,” he said. “We must govern with compassion, listen to the people, and work hand-in-hand with organizations like yours that are closest to the grassroots.”
Hon. Ganaja further urged members of the foundation to continue to promote peace, unity, and civic responsibility, stressing that collective support for good governance is key to driving progress in Ajaokuta LGA, Kogi State, and Nigeria at large.
The meeting ended with both parties agreeing to strengthen partnership and cooperation aimed at advancing the dignity, empowerment, and welfare of widows and other less privileged members of society.
