The Commissioner for Information and Communications, Hon. Kingsley Fanwo,has said that a leader must be ready to serve and be a team player with those working with him and guide them for optimal performance.
Hon. Fanwo, represented by the Secretary of the Media and Publicity Committee, Kogi State APC Campaign Council, Mr. Michael Ajibade stated this in his office during the first physical strategic meeting of the council to review the success stories of their activities so far and the way forward for the different subcommittees on how to improve if and when given the resources.
Hon Fanwo continued that if they want to achieve better results they must learn how to work together.
He advised the team leaders to exhibit self-confidence, effective communication and management skills, creative and innovative thinking, perseverance in the face of failure, willingness to take risks, openness to change and level headiness and reactiveness in times of crisis if they want the party to retain its leadership position.
He called on the team leaders to cultivate the habits of togetherness with each of the Subcommittee Team Leaders such as Online Subcommittee, Print SubCommittee, the Content Subcommittee and Electronic subcommittee among others.
In their response ,each of the team leaders enumerated their success stories and activities saying that when given the resources needed they are ready to do better to bring out the best the party has to offer and to see to it that APC is at the top of affairs of the state and the country.
Hon Fanwo appreciated the Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Bello, for the opportunity to serve the party and the people of Kogi State in particular and Nigeria at large .
