Hon Alhassan Salisu Adakeke shares solidarity with GOVERNOR AHMED USMAN ODODO over RESTORATION OF SUPPRESSED ELEVEN STATE ASSEMBLY CONSTITUENCIES

Hon Alhassan Salisu Adakeke, a former majority leader of KOGI STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY and now secretary KOGI STATE BASIC EDUCATION BOARD (SUBEB) described the recent judicial pronouncement on the matter as a victory for the minority groups in the state.

We have no doubt, this particular struggle has the support and encouragement of His EXCELLENCY, Governor Ahmed Usman who deployed his political arsenals to achieving this decades of political liberation. It on the note that, the BASSA LOCAL GOVERNMENT PEOPLE wish to express our solidarity and appreciation to Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for bringing the struggle to its logical conclusion.

Since the Year 1999 KOGI STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY was operated on eleven short down voices of the minority groups creating a long standing imbalances and inadequate representation in Legislation.

For us in BASSA LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA, this is as not only a moral boosts to democratic practice but a stitch to the sanctity of our constitution, fair and equitable representation.

We are confident, that Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo has the requisite credentials to ensure that, elections into the ELEVEN (11) state constituencies are conducted without delay in accordance with the court order. We also appeal to the BASSA LOCAL GOVERNMENT PEOPLE to utilize the opportunity provided by the exercise to work as a united body for development of the local government area.
