HAYOK MEDICARE PARTNERS FEDERAL TEACHING HOSPITAL LOKOJA ON FREE MEDICAL OUTREACH.

 


Towards complementing the efforts of kogi state government in the area of health care delivery, an NGO, Hayok Medicare Ltd,in collaboration with Federal Teaching Hospital,Lokoja,have organised a free medical outreach for people in Lokoja,Adavi and Okehi LGA of the state.
The free medical outreach which fell under the federal government’s 2024 capital project and channelled through the federal Teaching Hopital,Lokoja,held in the benefitting local government areas from 24-27 september,2024.
Speaking on the free medical outreach,one of the facilitators mallam Sanni Abdulwahab disclosed that the programme recorded over 1,500 beneficiaries from across the three local government areas.
Mallam Abdulwahab who said that the programme was aimed at addressing the health challenges of the citizens,especially those that can not afford basic healh care due to economic hardship,expressed happiness with the success of the programme.
Also speaking,one of the facilitators,Dr Kabir Atta disclosed that people with health challenges,such as, typhoid, malaria, hypertension, diabetics and deworming of children were treated free.

He also disclosed that people with eye problems were screened and corrective eye glasses given to needy patients.

He then expressed happiness for contributing his quota to the development of the state and the nation at large.

Speaking onbehalf of the beneficiaries of the programme,mr John Isah who was treated for eye problem thanked Hayok Medicare for collaborating efforts with Federal Teaching Hospital,Lokoja to provide the free medical outreach.

He expressed relief that with the eye glass he was given his sight will improve.
