HAPPY ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY TO OUR YOUNG DYNAMIC CHIEF SERVANT, GOVERNOR OF KOGI STATE, GOV. USMAN AHMED ODODO!

As we celebrate this special milestone, I want to acknowledge the incredible work being done by our dear Governor, who has quickly established himself as a dynamic leader for Kogi State. Although I have not yet had the opportunity to meet him in person or engage in direct conversation, his accomplishments resonate throughout the state.

Your Excellency, Gov. Ododo, I salute you. You are doing exceptionally well. In just 365 days, you have etched your name in silver, and I am confident that by the time you complete your tenure, you will have made your mark in gold and platinum.

As a Prince of Ijumu kingdom and also a chieftain of the largest opposition party in Nigeria, the PDP, I believe in speaking the truth, regardless of political affiliation. I must commend you on the remarkable progress that has been made in our state under your leadership. There is tangible development, peace, and order in Kogi.

I want to encourage you, as the Governor, to continue with your open-hearted approach. If you do, you will undoubtedly be recognized among the top-performing governors in our state’s history, and your name will shine brightly. To achieve this, I urge you to extend your exemplary outreach within the 16 km radius of the state, including areas like Shettima, Otokiti, Ganaja, Felele, and Zango. Focus on improving infrastructure such as road networks, portable water access, street lighting, and other essential social amenities to enrich the lives of the residents.

Additionally, I recommend addressing the concerns of civil servants by ensuring they receive their leave bonuses, settling retirees’ benefits, and clearing the backlog of payments owed to past political officeholders. These actions will elevate your position in comparison to previous governors of our state.

Furthermore, enhancing the Lokoja township water system, commonly referred to as Ibro water, is crucial for aligning our capital with the standards of a major state. Your intervention in the transportation sector is also vital for improving accessibility.

Once again, I wish you all the best as you continue to lead our state, and I congratulate you on being a peaceful and loving Governor for Kogi.

God bless Gov. Ododo.
God bless Kogi State!

OTUNBA PRINCE ( HON) JAMBRIGHT SUMANU
MRE, MINER
