The month of October is so strategic and historic in the calendar of our dear nation, Nigeria. It is the month that marks the anniversary of our political independence from the colonial Masters .
Freedom does not come so easily as we are all indebted as a nation to our national heroes who made this country what it is today , as a patriotic citizens let’s put extra effort to perform our civic rights and responsibilities. Our diversities should not be seen as a weakness but as our strength it is only by working together that we can build a resilience nation. We should also be mindful of our attitudes towards others in doing this we can build and sustain the kind of nation our past heroes dreamt of and laid down their lives for.
Let’s us all strive to always establish our pride by raising the country flag up high so that peace and harmony can follow us everywhere we go as citizens say no to domestic abuse and violence especially at this period that the flag off for campaign of 2023 general elections started we should see ourselves as one united family no position worth the soul of a citizen and it should not be do or die affair and to always believe that positions are given by almighty Allah.
As an individual and a nation challenges are abound we have been facing insecurity issues like banditary, Kidnapping and others we shouldn’t relent in our effort towards ensuring the nation becomes more stabilize to attract development.
The current flooding situation submerging houses destroying lives and properties across the country , Kogi state and Ajaokuta Local Government in particular has called for attention which is really worrisome using this medium to sympathise with all the affected victims as discussions are ongoing with the concern agencies to ensure the needful is done in touching the affected sooner than later.
Above all , freedom is priceless we can never buy it anywhere . We should always remember that the freedom we are enjoying today was as a result of all the fights , hustles and struggles of many of our lost national heroes. Let’s remember them today and pray for their souls during this independence day . May almighty Allah grant them eternal rest .
