Some of the athletes that represented Kogi State in todays Lagos Access Bank International Marathon have emerged victorious winning four medals.
Speaking with the Nigerianpost, Olajide Peters leader of the State’s contingent said the athletes are proud to have participated in the tournament, said the success recorded could not have been made possible without the support of Gov. Yahaya Bello.
The Kogi State born Olajide Peters and Member of Nigeria Athletics Masters NAM and the team lead Access bank International Marathon said the eight GYB4PYB Athletes that Competed For the Lagos Access Bank International Marathon all emerged victorious amongst the top winners.
The GYB4PYB athletes according to Olajide Peters the Kogi State Team won 4 Medals; Gabriel Martins came 2nd at the Masters category. Abdulmalik Abdulrahaman came 5th position while Olajide Femi Peters came 8th position. Abdullahi Mekudi Kaka came 10th position.
The athletes used the medium to thank Gov. Yahaya Bello for his support and encouragement which enabled them to perform at Masters level and dedicate the victory to the GYB4PYB vision 2023… Continue reading
