Ahead of the 2023 general election in Nigeria and as part of plans towards ensuring a victorious emergence of the All Progressive Congress at the poll, GYB Network For Tinubu, a support group in Kogi state has held its Zonal Inaugural Meeting today in Lokoja the Kogi state capital.
Engr. Joseph Olusegun Stephen popularly known as JOS, who is the Kogi West Zonal Coordinator of the group, alongside its Kogi West Executives of the group, held their inaugural meeting at the groups campaign office in Lokoja where all the coordinators of the seven local government areas in the zone were in attendance.
Engr. Joseph who chaired the meeting, gave a welcoming remark where he appreciates all his Kogi West Zonal Excos and all local Government coordinators who deemed it necessary to attend her maiden zonal meeting where issues bothering on modalities for winning the forthcoming elections for the All Progressive Congress was discussed extensively.
Addressing both excos and coordinators present at the inaugural meeting , Engr. Joseph revealed that the purpose for the formation of this support group in Kogi State is to unanimously work for the victory of the All Progressive Congress at the poll in the forthcoming 2023 general election. He noted that all those who have been appointed as coordinators of this group have been found worthy of their competence in their respective local government areas and political wards to drive home the mandate of this group; winning election for All Progressive Congress. Hence, the appointment of everyone here present is not a misplacement of responsibility and trust.
He reiterated the group’s commitment to helping all candidates of the All Progressive Congress Record victory at the poll for the general election come 2023. He said the group is one that is committed to an unquestionable loyalty to the party and will go all out to to ensure the party’s victory is achieved.
Engr. Joseph appreciates the unalloyed support of His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Bello, the Executive Governor of Kogi State towards the party and its faithfuls in the state. He stated that Governor Yahaya Bello’s Unity mantra is one that has kept the party undivided. He has ensured that the party’s interests stands as superior. Hence, his approaches towards keeping the party ready for re-election in the state stands commendable.
“Governor Yahaya Bello has shown political willingness and preparedness of the party to record unprecedented victory in the state from top to bottom and as a support group, it gladdens our heart to complement this giant strides of His Excellency by going all out to tell both market men and women about the good deeds of the government and the reason why a vote for the party is a vote for doing more”.
He charged all the local government coordinators present to stand tall and diligent in this course while emphasising that the result of every coordinator will go a long way in determining a good reward in return.
During the meeting which had in attendance the coordinators of the three federal constituencies’ in Kogi West Senatorial District, gave room for the present of letter of appointment to the local government coordinators across the zone.
Again, Engr. Joseph emphasised on the group’s readiness to work with the Tinubu/Shetima Presidential Campaign in the state so as to attaining a landslide victory for the party at large in the forthcoming general election.
